Tomahawk Lake surrounds the camp. A picturesque footbridge connects the
mainland to a five-acre crescent shaped island where our older campers live.
Clearwater
is a private, residential camp for approximately 120 girls between the ages of eight and
sixteen. Founded in 1933 by Sara Holiday ("Halokwe") Sprague, Clearwater has
been under the direction of Sunny Moore, once a Clearwater camper and counselor herself,
for more than 20 years. Laurie and Perry Smith are are
Associate Directors of the
Camp and help oversee the day-to-day running of all Camp activities.
The camper/staff ratio, 4:1, insures that campers receive the
attention they need during their time at Clearwater.
