The 2012 Season at Clearwater Camp

The 2012 camp season will extend from June 20th - Aug 9th, 2012.  Clearwater believes that the seven week session gives a child valuable security and growing success which is rarely achieved in a shorter period. Nevertheless, a shorter schedule sometimes better fits a family's schedule. Regardless of how long a camper is at Clearwater, her parents are assured of careful supervision and guidance; instruction by qualified, experienced instructors; an overall ratio of campers to staff of 4:1; health supervision by a registered nurse; dietary planning for generous, healthful food requirements.

1st session: Wed. June 20th - Sat. July 14th

2nd session: Mon. July 16th - Thurs. Aug. 9th

Full Session (First and Second Session): June 20th - Aug. 9th

Family Camp: Sat. Aug. 11th - Wed. Aug. 15th

Tuition

A deposit of $1000.00 should be sent to secure a place for your daughter, if you do not elect to pay the full amount at the time of registration. The remainder, if any, of tuition is due by April 30th. When two or more children of the same family register at Clearwater, a reduction of $100.00 is allowed for each full season registration, $75.00 for each single session registration.

Please call Clearwater to discuss the tuition fee which includes all phases of the camp program in which a camper is able to participate including, but not limited to: living expenses, out-of-camp trips in Wisconsin, sailing instruction, basic riding fee and use of all equipment.

The camp tuition does not include the following: transportation to and from Clearwater Camp and/or strictly personal expenses. Such expenses will be itemized and billed following the close of camp.

Refunds of tuition, less $150 processing fee, will be honored until March 31st. Following that, refunds will be one-half of the tuition.

Extended horseback riding:  $400.00 per session. Three rides per week including one all afternoon trail ride per session.

Extended waterskiing: (for girls grade 7 and older) $400.00 per session. Three or more hours of waterskiing per week.

Medical Forms / Ordering CampRx Medications

In January, registered campers will receive the following medical forms. Any new registrations will receive them in the acknowledgement packet. If you have misplaced any of these, they may be printed out below for your use.

All medical forms are to be returned to Clearwater Camp's office by May 15th.

· FORM 1 (camper health history filled out by parent or guardian): complete pages 1-3 and make a copy for your records. Many health care providers supply a chart with the immunizations with the camper’s last visit, which is acceptable. Your signature is required on the 1st page, then mail to camp.

· FORM 2 (filled out by a licensed medical personnel): Give to your health-care provider to complete and sign. Please mail directly to camp.

· Permission To Treat Form: required by Marshfield Clinic and Howard Young Hospital – requires two signatures, then mail to camp.

About Medications:

CampRx is a well-established company that dispenses, packages and ships medications directly to overnight camps. Please order through CampRx if your daughter will need:

  1. medicine taken daily (prescription and non-prescription) including vitamins
  2. medicine taken "as needed" if it is anticipated to be used 3 times or more per week

Visit www.camprx.com and follow the parent link on the website. You will find detailed information and how to register your camper. Medications need to be ordered 30 days PRIOR to your daughter arriving at camp.

Medications such as inhalers, eye drops, ear drops and epi-pens will be accepted at the Rest Cabin, with the prescription label and DO NOT need to be ordered through CampRx.

Travel Arrangements

Our campers are from all regions of the United States and often travel from foreign countries to reach the shores of Tomahawk Lake. We offer several options for your daughter’s transportation needs.

CAR:

Arrival: Please plan to arrive at camp between 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm.

Departure: Plan to pick up your happy camper between 9:00 am and 11:00 am.

CHARTERED BUS:

The chartered bus travels from the Chicago area to camp, stopping at O'Hare Airport to pick up campers flying in. While we anticipate having enough space, reservation will be honored on a first come, first served basis. The chartered bus includes lunch served en route.

The chaperoned bus will make stops as follows:

Chicago – where Diversey dead-ends at Lake Shore Drive

O’Hare Airport - only for those campers that are flying

Des Plaines Oasis - on Northwest Tollway (I-90)

Rockford – Clock Tower Inn (I-90)

Madison – East Towne Mall, McDonald's restaurant

Transportation fees will be on a "to be determined" basis. The number of campers taking the bus will be divided by the transportation costs. Therefore, charges for the bus will be determined after the arrival and departure days. Charges may vary from $120 to $180 per camper for a one-way trip. Billing will occur at the end of the camp season. Please call the office if you have any questions.

PLANE:

O’Hare Airport (ORD): a chaperone will escort the camper through the airport to the chartered bus.

Central Wisconsin Airport (CWA): 1 ¼ hours from camp - $35 charge each way.

Rhinelander Airport (RHI): 30 minutes from camp and no charge for van service.

We are available to help coordinate your daughter’s summer and travel plans. Questions may be referred to :
